ENDORSEMENTS
Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund announces 2008 endorsementsEach election cycle, Defenders Action Fund endorses a selection of incumbent congressional candidates whose conservation voting records deserve recognition in their bid for re-election.
In the case of the House candidates, all of the endorsees received 80% or more on our 2007 Conservation Report Card. Given that House Representatives were judged on votes spanning half of their term, members of the Senate were also judged on votes covering the same relative period of their six year term. For this reason, the Senate endorsees received a combined average of 80% or more on our 2005, 2006 and 2007 conservation report cards. Additionally, Senators not up for re-election this year have not been considered for endorsement.
