BALLOT INITIATIVES
Alaskans must have their voice heard in August '08
Alaskans have twice voted against aerial hunting of wolves and bears and twice the state legislature has overturned their decision. This year, voters will make their voice heard again in a state-wide ballot initiative that, if successful, will once again restrict the aerial hunting of wolves and bears.
The ballot initiative was made possible by 56,000 Alaskans who signed a petition to bring this issue to another vote. Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund will be working with Alaskans to make sure their voice is heard. Find out how you can help now.
