Arizona backs Grijalva despite GOP efforts to oust the conservation champion

The following statement from Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund President Rodger Schlickeisen is in response to news that Congressman Raúl Grijalva has been successful in his re-election campaign to represent Arizona's Seventh Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"Raúl Grijalva has certainly been given a good run for his money, but his victory proves that you can't oust a guy who has worked tirelessly for his constituents for the best part of a decade.

"Conservationists across the country can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Grijalva will return to Washington. He has been a true champion for wild places and wildlife and his leadership on natural resources, energy, global warming and border issues is still desperately needed."
